Back on January 16, 2020, I had posted part of this speech that I gave, as a blog, which was entitled Science Vs. God. The blog below is the full speech which I have entitled Science Proves You Are Made Of God – Pt. 1. I also made a video of this entitled Science Proves God Exists. It is a lot of fun and has been one of my most popular videos on YouTube. I will be reposting the video this week under the title Science Proves You Are Made Of God – Pt. 1.
Now for this week’s story:
Just three years after landing on the moon, NASA in 1972 launched the first spacecraft designed to probe space deep into our solar system.
As you know, the ability of science to mathematically predict where our spacecrafts will be is incredibly precise.
However, by 1980, just 8 years after the launch of Pioneer 10, scientists discovered the spacecraft was not where it was supposed to be. Not only was it short of where the scientists’ math had said it should be, but it was also slowing down.
Space was given the name “space” because it was thought to be empty. Scientists literally thought it was space. The dictionary definition of space is, “a continuous area or expanse which is free, available, or unoccupied.” Literary empty space.
However, Pioneer 10 was hitting something in space. After studying it for a while, the scientists discovered that Pioneer 10 was hitting a mysterious energy that permeated all of outer space. They also discovered this mysterious energy in the same intensity, permeating all of space.
I am not a religious man, but I am a spiritual man. My life has taught me that there is a higher power. I also believe in science.
So, the question I have is, can science and a person’s belief system coexist? If so, what would it mean to you personally?
When I was a young boy, I was taught that there is a God, and that God has five major characteristics.
- God is eternal – meaning God has always existed and always will exist.
- God is omnipresent – meaning God is everywhere at all times.
- God is omniscient – meaning God is all knowing.
- God is omnipotent – meaning God is all powerful.
- God can do anything – with God all things are possible.
When I was taught these things, they didn’t make sense, so as a six-year-old child I asked my teachers. I went to Catholic School. None of my teachers could answer my questions. In fact, they became angry with me for asking. Some of the teachers going so far as to start punching me in the head while screaming you just believe.
Needless to say, my faith had no answers,
Next, I asked science.
When I was a child, science had no answers either.
Then String Theory came along and while String Theory had its roots in the late 1960s and early 1970s, it really began to evolve into a unified theory of physics in the 1980s and 1990s.
For those who don’t know what String Theory is, here’s a simple explanation.
String Theory says everything is made out of incredibly small vibrating strings of pure energy. These strings are like vibrating rubber bands.
Depending on what frequencies these strings vibrate at they become something.
The strings vibrate at one frequency, and they form the wood a tree’s trunk is made out of. Another frequency and they become the individual leaves on the tree. Still another and they become the blades of grass around the tree and so on.
Well, if everything is made out of strings of pure energy, then the invisible air right where you are, right now is made out of these strings of pure energy.
This means everything in the universe is made out of these strings including what was thought to be empty. Space!
What does the discovery of String Theory mean? Do you remember the five characteristics of God?
- God is eternal – God has always existed and always will exist.
- God is omnipresent – God is everywhere at all times.
- God is omniscient – God is all knowing.
- God is omnipotent – God is all powerful.
- God can do anything – with God all things are possible.
Let’s start with #1 – These Strings are eternal. They have always been and always will be. Science tells us that energy cannot be created or destroyed. This means this pure energy of vibrating strings has always been and always will be. In other words, this pure energy is eternal.
#2 – These Strings are omnipresent – everywhere at all times. Science through Pioneer 10 has shown us that this pure energy is everywhere at all times.
#3 – These Strings are omniscient – all knowing. If everything is made out of pure energy, then that means this pure energy knows everything that is happening at all times.
#4 – These Strings are omnipotent – all powerful. Since everything is made out of this pure energy, any and everything can be made or destroyed at any time, meaning this energy is all powerful.
Last, but certainly not least, #5 – With these Strings everything is possible. According to String Theory, these strings, which are made out of pure energy, can do any and everything.
So, the answer to my question, can science and a person’s belief system coexist, is YES!
Our higher power reveals itself through science as pure energy which has always been and always will be, it is everywhere at all times. It is all knowing, It is all powerful, and with it all things are possible.
Now science, due to String Theory and the space program, has shown me mathematical scientific proof that a higher power exists.
What does this mean to you and me on a day-to-day basis?
First it means that you, me and every single person on this planet, is literally made out of this beautiful pure energy that has all the characteristics of God.
My goal in life is to teach every single person that they are absolutely AMAZING! I would say that showing everyone they are literally made out of God’s pure energy is a pretty good start.
However, all of us being made out of God’s pure energy is just the beginning. We will explore more in further blogs.
