Hello!

Hello everyone. My name is Neal G. Brownell. I prefer just Neal, but I use my full name because that is what is on the cover of my recently published book – You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It!  and it is how to find me on social media. It is my first book and it is an educational/motivational book. Our main audience is tweens, parents, grandparents, step-parents, and teachers, but individuals from the age of 9 to 99 can benefit from the message of this book.

To tell you a little bit about me, I am now 60 years old. You’re Amazing has a story in it about my youth. I was misdiagnosed as being mentally slow and at the age of 7, it was discovered that I was virtually blind. However, the stigma of being mentally slow followed me until the age of 11. At that time my parents decided to put me in a special school for kids like me. It was there that I met the first person that looked deeper, Mrs. Anderson. She changed my life forever. When you read the story you will see that Mrs. Anderson’s techniques were simple, yet extremely effective. In fact, her techniques are the techniques that I use to teach my readers that they are AMAZING!

I am an inventor at heart. I do have a patent on a device called

The Bandit ™, but what makes me the happiest is bringing out the special gifts in a person that they might not have even realized were there.

I will share some of my stories of everyday people doing extraordinary things and hope that you will share your stories with me, and together we will spread the message of not only accepting the people around you, but also the vital importance of accepting yourself. I will be posting once a week on Wednesdays. If you would like to follow my blog, click on the plus sign in the upper left of this page. You can also leave a comment below. Look forward to hearing from you and connecting!
