Crazy, Spectacular month

August has been a wonderful month for us. We taught a class at the Kingston, NY Barnes & Noble on August 10th. We had 14 people and two young men that came to the class want to assist us with photography, video, and online work. We are thrilled for that assistance. We also met a group from the Sheldon Hill Residence at this class that invited us to their picnic. We really appreciate Savannah asking us to come back for a return engagement.

On August 17th & 18th we had a table at the Kingston, NY Staples Block Party. We ran a contest on both days for everyone to guess how many buttons were in the jar. Jeremy DuBois of Carnival Foods was the winner of an autographed hardcover book. We also made some connections with the SPCA. Thanks so much to the General Manager of Staples – Jessica – for inviting us.

On August 24th we picnicked (is that a word?) with the counselors and kids from the Sheldon Hill Residence and had a magnificent time.

On August 27th we had a meeting with the Coordinators and Directors of Religious Education in Ulster and Dutchess Counties to present the class that we teach, which is based on You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! We feel that it went really well, so we will see what happens in the coming months.

We are also talking to other organizations, so if you have an organization that would like to have us come and teach a class based on positive self-esteem and self-acceptance, just let us know.

As always, we would love to hear any comments or stories that you would like to share with us, so feel free to comment below. If you would like to follow my blog, click on the plus sign in the upper left of the page. See you next week!
