This is our friend Jason Cohen with me at my first Barnes & Noble workshop in Kingston, NY on June 8, 2019.
This is a post of gratitude. We would like to thank everyone who has gotten us this far, starting with our awesome layout and design man Joe Tantillo who is also somewhat of a mentor and helped us with building our team, his wife Maura Shaw-Tantillo who helped in many different ways, Susan Uttendorfsky of Adirondack Editing – our brilliant editor, and our amazing illustrator Rich Molinelli. That is just the beginning of the people we need to thank. Matt Yerkes of Yerkes Photography and Dorothy Wills-Raftery, who is my wife’s long-time friend and an author and professional photographer, who helped us get started and have been in our corner since day one.
Thank you to all our preliminary readers and individuals who have given us testimonials as well as reviews on Amazon (for those of you who have read the book and haven’t had a chance to give us a review yet, it will help us immensely if you do). If you can’t post a review on Amazon, you can always send it to us via the contact form on the website and we will post it on the site.
Thank you to Patricia Miller-Nollner who got this whole journey started by telling me “Why are you sitting in my kitchen telling me this, why don’t you go out and tell the world.” That’s what I’m working on Patty.
Susan Carlson, who is a third grade teacher and was one of our preliminary readers (and is another one of our biggest fans) has helped us immensely as well. Thank you to Dee and Charlie Fleischer of Altomira Sew-Vac Center, Stu and Bunny of S&S Vac and Appliance Center, and Gary of Gary’s Deli for carrying You’re Amazing in their stores. Thank you to Cheryl Nicchitta who referred us to Susan Uttendorfsky and Brent Robison who referred us to Joe Tantillo. Thanks also to all our Facebook friends and Twitter followers.
Thank you to Kristen Campbell and Ashley at Hurley Library, Hurley, NY for our very first book talk and to Alison Belfance, Father Chris and Chris Molinelli at St. Mary of The Snow, Saugerties, NY for hosting our first You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! class.
Thanks to Savannah Baker for having us teach two classes at the Kingston, NY Barnes & Noble store and to Jessica at Staples in Kingston, NY for letting us have a table at their Block Party. Thanks to Janine Mower and Thurman Greco for having Book Day in Woodstock, NY and fitting us into the schedule (we also have to thank my wife Linda’s sister, Mary Giuliano, who is a children’s author, for letting us know about it). Thanks to Dan Furman of Toastmasters for his insight and assistance. Thanks to Barbara Kortrey for giving us suggestions on the class. Thank you to everyone who has bought the book.
Thank you to Linda Fitzsimmons and Liz Pascoe of the Archdiocese of NY for giving us the opportunity to do a presentation for the Religious Education Directors and Coordinators of Ulster and Dutchess Counties about the class we have to offer teaching positive self-esteem and self-acceptance in a unique way through the concepts of You’re Amazing.
If there is anyone we have forgotten we greatly apologize. It is an amazing thing to sit down and write out everyone who has helped us on this journey.
If you have any stories to share with us we would greatly appreciate it. If you would like to follow the blog please click on the plus sign in the upper left of this page. See you next week!
