Welcome! The young man in the photo above is one of our seven grandchildren. I hope some of you are able to get out and about. Here in New York State we are still somewhat limited. However, we were able to film our You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! class on Saturday, unfortunately without an audience. Our friend and talented videographer and photographer, Matt Yerkes filmed the class for us. Our tech guru, Shane is going to put the class online as a FREE Webinar with some special limited time offer book bundles.

At the end of this series of videos, I’m going to make the case for what is the number one invention of all times. No other invention even comes close. So follow the series to find out what is the greatest invention of all times. Once I show you what the greatest invention of all times is, a new series will pick up, going forward from there. Due to the health crisis, we are having difficulty getting a quality webcam, so it will be a little while before we will be able to shoot more YouTube videos for Neal-The Crazy Inventor.

Now for this week’s story:

The following is not written because I want sympathy. I write it in order to show you what I learned from going through these life’s lessons. One of the things that has occurred on this journey of writing and now promoting You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove it! is the fact that it has caused me to face every demon I ever feared.  I have faced more demons than I thought I had.

Every time I think this is the last demon, my Higher Power says O by the way here’s another demon for you to deal with. I consider my Higher Power to be a friend of mine. As a friend, I figure I can talk to them the same way I talk to any other friend. So, when they throw another demon at me, I tell them I’m not happy with them.

My Higher Power tells me that I don’t have to face the demons, but if I want to grow and help lots of people I will!

Throughout my life I have tried to face down all my demons as they came along. As you probably already know, I have seven siblings. My father, a man I did not like, once told me just after my younger brother was killed in a car accident, that he felt I would have very few problems in life. He said I would have very few problems, because instead of running from them I run towards them.

You see, little did he and I know at the time, but I had some childhood demons from when I was very young that I had never faced. The reason I had never faced these demons is for two reasons. One – because I was so young, I didn’t have any way of facing them. I had no reference points to know how to deal with these demons so I buried them. The second reason is, if I was being totally honest with myself, because although I do tend to run at my demons, I was frightened of these particular demons and avoided them.

So, because of this I dealt with these demons by burying them. I intended on moving forward and never looking back. That was, until I started writing You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! At the time I started writing I didn’t know what You’re Amazing was about.

I actually wrote to what I thought was the end of the book and still didn’t know what it was about. At first, I thought it was a children’s book. Then, I thought it was a book about accepting other people. However, I was in for a big surprise.

To make a long story short, when Lady Linda and I started preparing to promote You’re Amazing I was forced into a situation where I had to go back to my youth. I was forced to relive my earlier youth and all those demons. You know the demons I thought I left behind. However, my Higher Power was telling me if I wanted to move forward, I had to go back and face them.

The first demon I had to face was the fact that I had been programmed to be a non-human. What I mean by this is my parents taught me that I was mentally slow. They taught me that I would never achieve anything on my own. I would be dependent on someone else for my entire life. Because of this dependence on someone else, I would be told what to do and when to do it. For all intents and purposes I was being taught that I was a slave.

Well, my Higher Power told me that if I wanted to help people with You’re Amazing, then I needed to not only revisit those days, but I had to write about them and then stand in front of audiences and tell the story. I wrote the story and that was the final story I added to You’re Amazing!

Remember, I told you I didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for me, because what I went through is not important. The only thing that is important is what came out of my story. Although I explain it in detail in You’re Amazing, the two things that came out of my story is one – I know for a fact that people are good. People are really good! The second thing is – I learned all it takes is one person to change another person’s life for the better forever. If you want to see how such a terrible story to start with could turn out to be so positive, you should get a copy of You’re Amazing!  It’s really cool!

Well, after I faced that demon and it was excruciatingly difficult, I figured that was the end of it. I was wrong. The next demon my Higher Power threw at me was the fact that, in order to promote the book I had to stand in front of a camera. For some, this is no problem. But, I love people and hate cameras. I can stand in front of a crowd of people and teach them that they are Amazing and have fun doing it.

It is so beautiful to look into someone’s eyes and see that they now know they are as Amazing as everyone else on this planet. However, for me it is extraordinarily difficult to stand in front of a lifeless camera. The camera has no soul. There is no energy like you get from a live audience. There is absolutely nothing. It is dead. Well, I’m facing that demon down and I’m getting better at it.

I won’t go into detail, but there have been many more demons I’ve been forced to face. But, the point I want to make with this blog is although it has been excruciatingly difficult every time I face down a demon, I not only grow in my personal growth, but my ability to help more people also grows.

So, if you have any demons in your life which you have been avoiding, turn and go right at them. Get it over with. They aren’t going away until you deal with them. Once you have faced your demons, you will have grown tremendously, both  personally and in your ability to help the people around you.

Remember, I told you I didn’t know what the book was about. I didn’t discover what it was about until readers started to give me feedback. You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! is about the reader discovering themselves. What a beautiful feeling, to truly know who you are.
