Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas. Our Christmas was more awesome than usual because we are thankful to still have our son, his wife and four children with us. The house they were renting burned down a week before Christmas. Thankfully no one was home at the time. They were able to salvage some memorabilia (the drawing above is a drawing that the four children drew and it was a piece of memorabilia that was saved) and the Christmas presents, but lost everything else. Our friends, family and the community have been so wonderful in giving donations of money, food, clothing, etc. An area restaurant made them Christmas dinner and other area restaurants have given gift certificates. An area dry cleaner offered to clean anything that was cloth that they were able to salvage, an area hair salon gave a gift certificate for hair cuts for the whole family, and so many other wonderful stories. It reaffirms my belief that people are good, people are really good. Our daughter and her family have opened their home to he and his family until they are able to get their own place.

Also, the day after Christmas, our 14-year-old Pit Bull/Boxer mix, Little Face, decided to walk out into the woods that she loved, to die. We checked with all the neighbors and walked the woods that we were able to, but weren’t able to find her. She has come to me in two dreams to let me know that she is young again and running through puddles like she used to. We miss her terribly, but she is at peace now and we will see her again someday.

So, as you can see, December has been a tough month for Lady Linda and me. That is why I didn’t have it in me to write a blog last week (12-23-20).

As far as news on You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! goes, we have decided to change the cover of You’re Amazing. Our tech guru, Shane, will be testing the new covers on Facebook and Instagram to see which one sells the book best, so keep an eye out and let us know which cover you like the best.
