SET EACH OTHER FREE – PART 2!

Happy Wednesday! We hope all of you are healthy and safe. It is a crazy time to live, but you have to admit, it’s not boring. Last week we found out that another of the podcasts that I was honored to be a guest on was aired on February 24. This podcast is The Empowered Whistleblower with host Dawn Westmoreland. Dawn’s podcast discusses strategies to stand up to bullying and discrimination for adults and children. It was awesome to be on Dawn’s show – what a great fit for You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! Our tech guru Shane will be putting my podcast interviews together in video form so that we can share them on social media and through my websites.

Also, remember to check out our new gift shop at www.youreamazingandillproveit.com We will have bonus packages and a variety of products being added soon.

Now for this week’s story!

Three weeks ago, on 2-26-20, in my blog entitled “Set Each Other Free”, I showed you two men fighting when finally, one man gets the other down. I then asked you who the winner was? The answer, according to a crazy inventor, is neither man. As long as the two men are trying to control the other, they spend all their time and energy trying to keep the other man down. This in turn holds both men down.

However, so far what I have shown you is only two men. What happens if you apply the theory to history and the different so-called great societies? If you go back 5,000 years you will find societies that were based on slavery (one man holding another down). Remember I have the aptitudes of an inventor so I am going to look at everything through the eyes of an inventor (well, a crazy inventor).

If you look at the inventions that came out of these societies, you will find almost none. They were so busy holding their fellow man down by enslaving them, that they held themselves down and therefore had no time to invent.

5,000 years ago, we are at the beginning of Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt started with almost no inventions and it ended 3,000 years later with almost no inventions. Instead of working with their fellow brothers and sisters of the human race, they held them down. For this reason, they spent all their time holding their fellow humans down instead of raising each other’s lives.

Now let’s move to Ancient Greece which started roughly 3,000 years ago. Ancient Greece started with almost no inventions and ended approximately 750 years later with almost no inventions. They spent all their time holding their fellow human beings down.

Next let’s look at Ancient Rome which also started roughly 3,000 years ago. Ancient Rome lasted for well over 1,000 years and again they started with almost no inventions and ended with almost no inventions.

Ok let’s look at the Middle Ages which started roughly 476 A.D. and lasted for 977 years. Other than advances in warfare, there was little to no inventions. However, in the Middle Ages the hierarchy (royalty) not only held their fellow humans down they forced them to live in total squalor. The Hierarchy prevented any advancement of knowledge. Because of this, after nearly 1,000 years of holding their fellow humans down, the knowledge at the end of the Middle Ages was far less than going into the Middle Ages.

From the end of the Middle Ages (1453) until 1790, there were very few inventions. However, in 1790 something happened that changed the world. Actually, I have to start the story of 1790 in 1776. And we all know what happened in 1776. America was born.

Now, what happened in 1790 that changed the world? 1790 was the year the U.S. Patent Office was set up. Other countries had patent offices, so what makes America’s patent office so special? Following are the words that the U.S. Patent office was founded on “Congress shall have the power…to promote the progress of science and useful arts by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries.”

Thomas Jefferson, commenting on his softening opposition to patents at the time, stated: “The patent act has given a spring to invention beyond my comprehension.”

Our founding parents set up the patent office so it was inexpensive to get a patent. You see, for the first time in history the individual could get ahead by inventing something that not only raised their own life, but they raised the lives of the people around them. For the first time in history a person could get ahead without beating the other person over the head.

We fought a horrible Civil War and got rid of slavery. This increased the need for creativity which led directly to the astronomical explosion of inventions. From my standpoint, because America led directly to virtually every invention that has been invented since it’s birth, America is the greatest invention of all times.

America is the greatest civilization in all of history. For the first time in history a person can dream/imagine something that will help them, invent it, protect it, sell it, and reap the rewards of enhancing other people’s lives. Protect Her! You’re Amazing And America Proves It!
