Hello! Hope everyone is well. We had a great time last weekend with our kids and grandkids and our great-grandson who turned 2! I am working on a new video for our special offer website. Now to continue last week’s story:

Last week we ended by introducing you to two people by telling you their deeds.

First I introduced you to someone who cut taxes then implemented a national project and the economy and living standard of the people of the United States soared.

Next I introduced you to someone who told everyone if they follow them their lives would be better. They told everyone, I will do everything for you. The people followed them. They grabbed power and then started killing anyone they felt like killing.

Now to continue the story of how as a people, we are much closer than you think.

In order for you to understand who these people are, I need you to picture a circle with a line down the middle, splitting the circle in half vertically. One side of the circle is the right side, the other is the left. Right wing, left wing. Now point your index finger straight out and put them together in front of you. Here with your hands together the right wing and the left wing come together. Here the right wing and the left wing agree on almost everything.

Both say we should help people. Lift people. Help them to be better than they think they can be. Here the left and the right go out of their way to better people’s lives.

Now I want you to slowly separate your hands and start to draw a circle. As your hands get farther and farther apart the left and the right disagree on more and more things. Then you finally reach the bottom of this circle. Here the right wing and the left wing come together on almost everything again. Only here they are so radical they will murder anyone who doesn’t abide by their belief system.

We get so entrenched with what team we are on, we not only refuse to see the good the other team has, we also refuse to see the bad on our team.

The best way for me to show you this team attitude is for me to introduce you to the people I spoke about last week in this blog.

Let’s pretend that you are the owner of a company that had 100 employees and for years you ran your business extremely well. However, little by little over the years your employees started slacking off. Although there are a few of your workers that are still doing good work, the vast majority of your workers’ work ethics are getting worse and worse. You tried getting rid of some of them and replacing them, but this didn’t help.

Then one day you arrive at work and your employees had split themselves into two groups of 50 employees each. Each group tells you that the problems your company is having is the fault of the other side. You’re sitting there looking at both groups who have not produced adequately for you. Now, the two sides are telling you that you have to pick one side over the other and that you have to pick a side right now.

The question is what do you do? As the boss do you pick one unproductive side over the other unproductive side? Do you get rid of all of them? Do you look at the productivity of each individual regardless of which side they are on and determine who you’re going to keep? Do you look at the individual employee’s integrity and the project they are working on?

Welcome. I know that when blogging I am supposed to be shall I say punctual and put up a blog on the same day each week. However, to be honest with you, when you are trying to market a book, make videos, and also run another business, time gets away from you when you are just a mom and pop in both areas. So please understand when I don’t get the blog up on Wednesday and occasionally don’t get one up at all. It doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate your support, it just means that there aren’t enough hours in a day. I love you all.

Who Is The Winner – Imagination

A few months ago I recorded 3 videos for my Neal – The Crazy Inventor YouTube channel, entitled Who Is The Winner. This blog is about the third video in that series.

As you will see in the first two episodes of Who is the Winner, when you hold someone down you hold yourself down every bit as much. You’ve seen this on a personal basis with 2 men.  In episode 2 of Who Is The Winner, you will see that this happens on a societal scale as well (I explore it happening in Ancient Greece, Egypt, Rome, and the Middle Ages.) During these times they were holding themselves down so much that there were virtually no inventions. The few that they had were unavailable to the average person. This held the society back immensely to the point there were virtually no inventions. They were too busy beating each other up to have time enough to imagine a greater and better world.

And then, 7,776 years after the beginning of Ancient Greece, the greatest invention of all times was invented. When this invention happened, for the first time in all of history, going back to the beginning of mankind, a person could get ahead by helping to raise another person’s life.  Four years after this invention came about it was improved upon. Within 14 years there was another major improvement and then within 89 years the final improvement to stop stealing from one another was put in place.

So what is this invention and the second question is what improvements were made on the invention? Rather than me tell you the answer to the first question, why don’t I tell you the answer to the second one and that will help you to answer the first question.

Welcome! We want to honor and thank all of the men and women who have died in order for us to keep our freedom. Not only have they kept us in the United States of America free, but they have kept the world free. We wish everyone a safe and fun Memorial Day celebration.

As an inventor, I will debate with anyone who says America is not the greatest society that has ever existed. Celebrate her greatness, teach her greatness, keep her great.

In last week’s blog I talked about finding common ground between myself and a friend of mine who thought they had a different political viewpoint. I showed him that we stood closer on abortion than he ever thought. See last week’s blog, Finding Common Ground, for the full story. Below is a continuation of how the vast majority of us draw the line on abortion and shows the common ground.

Abortion and String Theory

I have been doing a series on how string theory (science) parallels my belief system which lies with the Native American Indians. Most mainstream religions also, although they word it differently, believe in the same thing the Indians believe.

We believe there are parallel dimensions that affect one another and by our own decisions we can make our life positive or negative. We also believe that the vast majority of humanity is unbelievably good. I’m talking 99.99 percent are truly good.

When you look at the universal laws which states that when you do good things, good things happen or at least you live in a more positive realm, and if you do bad things, bad things happen. 

Keeping that in mind, I was going to tell you my stance on abortion drawn through the spirit world and science (string theory) as well as history.

Remember, my message is people are good. I know this to be a fact. So as an inventor the question is – Why are people making different decisions, standing in different positions when we are all good and want good for the other person? The answer that my life has taught me is that it all boils down to communication and the willingness to at least consider the other person’s point of view.

I met with a man who has recently become a friend of mine. This man is a very good man. However, at this meeting it became apparent that he thought we were on opposite ends of the political spectrum. I told him that I didn’t think so. I continued with what I was saying to him. I told him I would bet him that we stand closer to the same position than he would think.

In order for me to prove this he would at least have to listen and consider my point of view. He said, point of view on what? I said why don’t we pick a very difficult subject. I said how about Abortion? I said you think we are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I say we’re not. I say we’re much closer than you think. I told him that there was film that certainly indicated that they are performing infanticide. The baby is born and they literally kill it. He informed me that he didn’t think it was happening.

We had a comment on last week’s blog that I wrote about teaching your children to drive and that neither one of my children have had an accident. This lady commented that she had taught her daughter to drive in a similar way, except she used an industrial park instead of a mall. And the wonderful thing is her daughter is in her 30’s and she has also never had an accident. Lady Linda and I love to hear comments on my blogs, so please share anything you would like with us.

I figured that they had wisdom that comes with time and I could save time by learning this wisdom from them. The reason I am writing this blog series, Teaching The Game of Life, is to pass on some of the knowledge I have accumulated during my 62 years to everyone.

The Vulnerability of Your Teeth – Today I want to tell you what you need to know and they don’t tell you about your teeth. We all know that you only get one set of adult permanent teeth. As I have gone through life, I have taken extremely good care of my teeth. However, because I didn’t know how vulnerable my teeth are, I have had some problems.

#1 – As a child I didn’t know how easy it is to chip my teeth. One day I was playing with a walky-talky that had an antenna that pulled out. Well, instead of using my hand, I pulled it out with my front teeth, chipping one of them. Luckily it was a small chip and the dentist was able to grind it out. So take care of your teeth and teach the children how easy it is to damage your teeth by using them for things they are not meant for.

Learning to Drive – One of the scariest times in a parent or guardian’s life is when our kids first start to drive. One of the reasons for this is our kids are excited to do something they have never done before. Because they are so young and inexperienced, this excitement of doing something new is exacerbated.

As an inventor and parent, my question was, “how can I make this situation safer for my kids?” The answer I came up with, was to take the excitement out of doing something new by teaching the kids to drive as soon as they were physically big enough. Obviously they had to be able to reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel.

Bills and Credit Cards – When I graduated from high school and started making my way in the world, I had no idea what I was doing. For this reason I got myself in financial problems early on.

When I was older I was thinking back on those days, and as an inventor I asked the question, “Why did no one teach me and my fellow students how to handle bills?” Although it should have been taught in school, first and foremost it is the parents’ responsibility to teach their children how to survive. Because of this my wife Deb and I decided we were going to teach our kids how to handle bills.

She and I thought about it for awhile. How should we go about teaching how to pay bills and how to be responsible with money? We decided the best way to teach them was to have them pay bills just like mom and dad does.

Promoting You’re Amazing And I’ll Prove It! has been incredibly challenging. Although it has been thrilling to find how many people have come out of the woodwork to help us on our journey, it has been a very long one. But recently we met Elizabeth Miles through her Power to Pivot podcast. In talking to her, she suggested that we change the name of the book. Elizabeth didn’t give us any suggestions on what to change it to, but her reasoning behind it made sense. So we got out what used to be You’re Amazing and told ourselves that the title must be in here somewhere.

As the book is laid out now, just a few pages from the front there is a door with the words on it, The Doorway To Knowledge and Freedom. Because of this, the new title of the book is The Doorway. We are still playing with the subtitle.

What Did Our Ancestors do to Take Care of Their Feet – One of the things that we tend to ignore until we finally have problems with them is our feet. If we do not take care of them as we age we can start to get fungus growing under our toenails. Once this fungus starts growing, it can be difficult to get rid of. If you go to the doctor, they will tell you to use some ridiculously expensive medical ointment.

As an inventor and an amateur historian the question I have is, “What did our ancestors do for foot fungus before this ridiculously expensive medical ointment was available?” I am not a doctor, so I can’t tell you this is something you should do, but I can tell you what our ancestors did and what I do for foot fungus.
